Heal from past trauma, make sense of life’s challenges and deepen your capacity to achieve a sense of safety, agency and wellbeing. I offer a safe and compassionate space for individuals seeking counselling and psychotherapy.
Life is full of unexpected moments that can jolt the mind, shock the heart and transform our days. No matter what you carry or how deeply you're hurting, you do not need to navigate the messiness of living in silence or solitude. I would be honoured to support you through the ongoing challenges associated with:
Healing is possible through connection, but connection is only possible if you reach out.
What you can expect from holistic counselling
Seeking therapy is a big step. There’s a lot of trust that passes between you and your therapist, so you’ll want to speak to someone you click with. I offer a complimentary discovery session to ensure you feel comfortable with me, my approach and the work we’ll do together.
How often will we see each other:
If you decide we’re a fit, we’ll book in one session at a time in a rhythm that suits your schedule. Some people meet with me every week, while others pencil in some time every now and then. You decide what works best for you.
During our sessions:
I will work with you to develop awareness and agency across three time zones:
I will meet you wherever you are in the present, offering a trauma-informed integrative approach to healing and transformation. The journey we take together honours you, as a whole person, weaving together a range of healing modalities and wisdom.
Counselling techniques: Introducing my healing toolkit
Process-oriented psychology Process-oriented psychology, also called process work, is a depth psychology theory and set of techniques developed by Arnold Mindell and associated with transpersonal psychology, somatic psychology and post-Jungian psychology. It is a paradigm of psychotherapy focused on working with the entire spectrum of human experience and consciousness.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
IFS is a transformative evidence-based tool that conceives every human being as a system of protective and wounded inner parts led by a core Self. IFS helps people heal by accessing and healing their protective and wounded inner parts. IFS creates inner and outer connectedness by helping people first access their self and, from that core, come to understand and heal their parts.
Acceptance and commitment therapy Acceptance and commitment therapy is an empirically-based psychological intervention that uses acceptance and mindfulness strategies along with commitment and behaviour-change strategies to increase psychological flexibility.
Feminist therapy
Feminist therapy is an integrative approach to psychotherapy that focuses on the challenges that women face as a result of bias, stereotyping, oppression, discrimination and other factors, and how those stressors can negatively affect their mental health.
