I specialise in grief and loss support services, including traumatic loss and suicide bereavement. I have chosen this pathway as I have a lived experience of traumatic loss. I will hold you softly, with fierce compassion, offering a place for you to fall apart and be remade.
Grief is not something to be fixed or solved. Instead, grief itself is the healing process from loss. We all experience grief in different ways. Whether it be the grief associated with losing a loved one, the loneliness of not belonging, a broken relationship, feeling like we can’t be our true selves, or the disappointment of life not meeting our expectations.
Because we all grieve differently, my humanistic approach honours your unique experience while drawing on the rich research available to offer practical paths forward. As you find the courage to make space for the journey, I will guide you through the paradox of being both sad and hopeful, traversing feelings of suffering, joy, pain and happiness, so you can find moments of respite and move forward with your life.
What to expect in grief counselling
I offer one-on-one grief and bereavement counselling sessions, grief circles and retreats where your experience is welcomed and embraced. As there is no single pathway to tend to your grief, each space helps you make sense of your loss and channel rivers of transformation through sharing, reflection, courage and self-love.
How many sessions will you need and how often?
You may find that you need just one or two sessions to help orient yourself. On the other hand, an immediate loss can compound old wounds, unresolved issues and parts of yourself that you’ve sent away, leading to a longer connection. There is no magic number. The frequency of our sessions is also down to you - some of my patients feel more comfortable with weekly catch-ups, while others prefer monthly check-ins between self-work and exploration.
